Position Overview:
The Process Improvement Engineer is tasked with the responsibility of assessing, refining, and enhancing existing manufacturing operations to boost production efficiency. This role involves evaluating and implementing innovative processes for the introduction of new products while overseeing capital investment recommendations and their execution.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, assess, and enhance manufacturing techniques by leveraging knowledge of products, materials, fabrication methods, tooling, and production equipment capabilities, as well as assembly techniques and quality assurance standards.
- Formulate manufacturing processes by analyzing product specifications; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing techniques and machinery; and collaborating with equipment suppliers.
- Identify solutions to production challenges that minimize costs, enhance throughput, and improve quality, safety, and environmental conditions.
- Analyze workforce utilization, spatial requirements, workflow, and design equipment and workspace layouts for optimal efficiency.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams regarding product design, manufacturing processes, and equipment to ensure effective production methods.
- Estimate production timelines, staffing needs, and associated costs to inform management decisions.
- Plan, define, and execute new manufacturing systems as required for the introduction of new products.
- Consult with management and other personnel regarding manufacturing capabilities, production timelines, and other factors to streamline production processes.
- Compile product and process reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Ensure factory uptime through daily problem-solving, with the ability to autonomously prioritize and re-prioritize tasks.
- Actively engage in all lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Be prepared to work a flexible schedule as necessary, including occasional travel.
- Comply with New Pig's Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience (5 years) in a related field.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, SW, PSP, SMED, VRK, OEE, TPM, etc.).
- Competency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or similar design software.
