Job Summary

The Director of MDS will be responsible for conducting and coordinating the development, completion, and transmission of the resident assessment in accordance with state requirements and facility policies. This includes ensuring that the care plan includes measurable objectives and timetables to meet the resident's medical, nursing, mental, and psychosocial needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and coordinate the development and completion of preliminary and comprehensive resident assessments (MDS) in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Ensure that the care plan includes measurable objectives and timetables to meet the resident's medical, nursing, mental, and psychosocial needs.
  • Conduct or coordinate the interviewing of each resident for the assessment.
  • Help develop and update a comprehensive resident assessment and care plan for each resident.
  • Evaluate each resident's condition and pertinent medical data to determine any need to amend the admission assessment.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years' experience providing direct care to multiple patients/residents preferred.
  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or graduation from an approved RN program.
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN.
  • Current valid CPR certification.
