Position Overview
We are in search of a skilled Superintendent with expertise in safely lifting, moving, and positioning heavy machinery and equipment using various rigging techniques.
Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of managing teams responsible for rigging operations on large-scale general contracting industrial and heavy commercial projects.
Preferred qualifications include Union Ironworker, Millwright, or Boilermaker Journeyman status.Candidates must possess strong mechanical reasoning skills and a solid understanding of mathematical applications, weights, measurements, and balance.
Ability to assess loads, perform calculations, and develop lift plans is essential.
Familiarity with current industry standards and regulations regarding rigging equipment and devices is required.
Proficiency in positioning and preparing cranes and necessary lifting apparatus is a must.
Candidates should ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and be adept with the latest industry technologies.
Experience in managing multiple crews is necessary, along with the ability to complete electronic daily reports (including timesheets, work logs, JSAs, PTPs, productivity tracking, budget reviews, QAQC reviews, etc.).
Flexibility with scheduling, willingness to travel, and availability for overtime are essential.
Experience in managing large-scale general contracting industrial and heavy commercial projects is required.
Strong organizational skills are a must.
A current CPR/AED certification and completion of 30-hour OSHA training are required.
