About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dimensional Engineer to join our team at Zoox. As a key member of our Dimensional Engineering team, you will play a critical role in defining and executing complete vehicle design for manufacture and assembly across various engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead 2D engineering drawing checking for complex designs, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Continuously improve GD&T processes, procedures, and data sheets for various parts with different materials and manufacturing methods.
  • Lead failure analysis and root-cause investigations of defective materials, utilizing expertise in ASME Y14.5 standards.
  • Train and mentor in ASME Y14.5 GD&T, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Work closely with design engineers to review and propose GD&T symbols, making recommendations for measurability and manufacturability improvements.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in dimensional/quality engineering.
  • Knowledge of CMM/Faro Arm, Leica programming using PC-DMIS/Polyworks.
  • Experience in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and stacks.
  • Experience with ASME Y14.5 standard (2009/2018).
  • Experience using various metrology equipment, including CMM, OMM, Faro Arm, Leica, caliper, pin gauge, etc.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience in product design, ASME and ISO GD&T, Fixture, and Metrology.
  • Experience working with suppliers to improve manufacturing and measurement processes.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $155,000 to $255,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level.

Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.

The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
