Job Title: Senior Energy and Range Attribute Engineer

Zoox is seeking a highly skilled Senior Energy and Range Attribute Engineer to lead our energy management efforts for our fully autonomous vehicles. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing energy strategies that optimize our vehicles' range and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the energy team and work cross-functionally to drive end-to-end energy strategies implementation
  • Develop and communicate strategies for full vehicle energy management, including sub-system operation points, energy saving features, thermal integration, and driving cycles
  • Cascade energy strategy requirements to various subsystems
  • Cooperate with advanced hardware, thermal, and powertrain teams for energy-efficient solutions and integration
  • Lead energy simulation and testing activities, including validation and model correlation
  • Integrate energy model in Zoox simulation environment for end-to-end range simulation
  • Monitor energy roadmap as the company evolves to provide robotaxi service
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in engineering, physics, or related field
  • 15+ years of solid experience in vehicle energy management
  • Experience in energy simulation and testing
Compensation:

Zoox offers a comprehensive compensation package, including salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $185,000 to $307,000, and a sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level.

Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.

The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
