Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement advanced GD&T and metrology techniques to improve product compliance and quality.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure accurate setups and programs.
  • Assist in special projects related to tooling and gauges with Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Explore efficiency improvements through attribute gauging.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO/FDA guidelines and internal procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 6 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • 6 years of experience with inspection equipment.
  • 4 years of advanced CMM programming experience.
  • 4 years of advanced Vision System programming experience.
  • 5 years of experience with advanced dimensioning, tolerancing, and GD&T principles.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Full working knowledge of machining properties of common metals and alloys. Good mechanical aptitude. Ability to read blueprints. General knowledge of drafting concepts.
  • Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: Zeiss CMM and vision system programming skills.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
