Position Overview: The Receivables Management Associate will oversee the company's receivables operations, ensuring prompt and precise collection of payments, maintaining client accounts, and delivering exceptional service to our customers. The successful candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational capabilities, and a proactive mindset towards resolving issues.

Primary Duties:

  • Manage accounts and incoming payments in accordance with financial regulations and procedures
  • Conduct daily financial activities, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording receivables data
  • Generate bills, invoices, and bank deposits
  • Reconcile the receivables ledger to confirm that all payments are accurately recorded
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve client billing concerns
  • Encourage timely payment of invoices by sending reminders and contacting clients
  • Create financial statements and reports reflecting the status of receivables
  • Assist with end-of-month closing activities
  • Maintain precise records and documentation of customer payments and transactions
  • Work collaboratively with sales and customer service teams to address any billing or payment discrepancies

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Receivables Management role or similar position
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software
  • Strong grasp of fundamental accounting principles
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills with clients and internal teams
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work autonomously
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the food distribution or related sectors
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

Work Arrangement:
  • Hybrid model, requiring 3 days in the office each week
  • Parking available

Salary:
  • $58,000/year
