Financial Operations Specialist

Oliver Hospitality Management LLC is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. In this key role, you will play a crucial part in the hotel's financial operations by ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, executing daily and monthly tasks, and adhering to relevant regulations and company policies.
This is a hybrid role, but our ideal candidate should be open to being onsite at our Clarksville, TN location a few times per week.
Compensation:$50,000 - $55,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial transactions.
- Process invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors. Assist with accounts receivable duties including invoicing, posting payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for the hotel's operating and reserve accounts.
- Assist in the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and the preparation of financial statements.
- Generate accurate and timely financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Provide financial analysis to support management decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and hotel policies. Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Monitor and manage daily cash flow, prepare cash reports, and ensure the security and proper handling of hotel funds.
- Assist with inventory counts and ensure accurate reporting of hotel supplies, equipment, and other assets.
- Provide accounting support and guidance to other departments, ensuring that financial procedures are followed.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of local, state, and federal tax returns.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the hospitality or hotel industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with property management systems (PMS) and/or hotel accounting software is a plus.
- Experience in hotel-specific software (e.g., ProfitSword, M3, Data Plus).
- Ability to analyze financial data and trends to provide insights to management.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
