Job Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for planning, implementing, and administering all aspects of Human Resources responsibilities for the supported companies. This role will involve performing customer service functions, maintaining employee records, and assisting with payroll processing and other HR administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform customer service functions by answering daily employee requests and questions with oversight from the HR Manager.
• Maintain employee records in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Assist with payroll processing and other HR administrative tasks.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits, including health and dental, 401k, PTO, and FMLA.
• Assist with benefit open enrollment annually.
• Perform data entry for new hires into payroll and benefit platforms.
• Verify I-9 documentation and maintain files.
• Assist with planning company events.
• Assist with coordinating employee meetings and group events, assists with preparing agendas, and reserving facilities.
• Answer unemployment claims and employment verification.
• Assist with employee relations matters.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years in a similar HR Generalist position with payroll and benefits administration.
• Ability to successfully interact with employees and leaders.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills necessary to communicate and work effectively with management and co-workers.
• Excellent telephone manners.
• Ability to understand, interpret, develop, and communicate company policies and procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral directions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to take initiative to complete projects, tasks, and assignments.
• Ability to empathize and defuse sensitive or contentious employee issues.
