Reporting Structure: Reports to the Shared Services Director - Accounting

Position Summary

The primary role of the Revenue Assurance Specialist is to safeguard and enhance operating margins while optimizing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) through precise and prompt billing practices. This position involves collaborating with the Billing Team to guarantee that Mersino customers receive accurate invoices consistently, while also ensuring that the invoicing process adheres to internal controls for financial integrity and uniformity. Additionally, the Revenue Assurance Specialist will contribute as both a team member and an individual contributor to the overall success of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a relentless focus on accurate billing and rectifying discrepancies to maximize operational profitability, ensuring all invoices are thoroughly reviewed and correct before dispatching to customers.
  • Assist in the integration and maintenance of robust internal control measures related to billing applications to protect company assets.
  • Support the training and communication of billing policies and procedures to all personnel within the reporting structure.
  • Help establish billing policies and procedures, ensuring proper training and compliance through follow-up and oversight to guarantee consistent performance across all locations.
  • Conduct regular audits of projects to ensure that appropriate billing documentation is collected across all branches.
  • Monitor, record, and report on all daily customer payments and credits.
  • Oversee the company's Accounts Receivable; initiate collection calls as necessary following standard company protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Collections and Sales Teams to address customer inquiries and complaints regarding invoicing.
  • Maintain comprehensive customer records, including all necessary documentation.
  • Communicate promptly with leadership regarding escalations and billing concerns.
  • Keep accurate records in accordance with company standards.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required and requested.
  • Ensure that The Mersino Way serves as a guiding principle in all daily activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in billing, finance, or similar fields is advantageous.
  • Experience in data entry is essential.
  • Familiarity with standard accounting practices is required.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Training and auditing skills are desirable.
