Position Overview

To surpass guest expectations through enthusiasm and assistance, creating a welcoming environment for both members and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attract and retain members by consistently delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Engage with staff, members, and guests in alignment with the Village Standards: People, Places, and Programs.
  • Project a professional and positive image that reflects well on the organization.
  • Welcome and check in members with genuine hospitality and effective communication.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the club, its amenities, programs, and relevant local information.
  • Manage and document cash and non-cash transactions accurately.
  • Provide exceptional service to guests, maintaining a friendly and helpful demeanor at all times.
  • Address guest complaints promptly and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist members in enrolling in programs and activities.
  • Answer incoming calls and route them to the appropriate staff members.
  • Ensure the front desk area and related spaces are clean and safe.
  • Support membership operations to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Handle credit card and cash transactions competently.
  • Manage reservations for tennis, squash, and racquet courts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in operating multi-line telephone systems.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful attitude.
  • Familiarity with court reservation systems.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills are essential.
  • Obtain CPR certification within 30 days of employment through company training.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of tennis is advantageous.
  • Experience in high-end health clubs, hospitality, or related fields is preferred.
  • Prior experience with cash handling and credit card transactions.
  • Understanding of court reservation systems is beneficial.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

This role necessitates standing for extended periods, walking, lifting, grasping, bending, and kneeling for filing. It involves repetitive movements of the wrists, hands, and fingers, as well as the ability to communicate detailed information clearly and effectively.

Physical activity may include tasks related to membership events and programs, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.


Visual Requirements:

This position requires close visual acuity for tasks such as greeting guests, answering phones, analyzing data, and viewing computer screens.


Work Environment:
Outdoor and indoor settings, including typical office work and activities related to tennis court operations.
