Position: Clinic Navigator

Role Summary

  • Welcome patients upon their arrival, conducting thorough interviews to gather necessary information for their appointments and treatment. The Navigator also provides guidance throughout the patient's visit and addresses inquiries that do not require a licensed professional's expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with patients in a clear, empathetic, and accurate manner.
  • Assist clients in locating available appointments.
  • Support clients in finding a primary care provider or additional services as needed.
  • Utilize various systems and tools to access data for effective clinic operations management.
  • Adhere to established goals, objectives, policies, protocols, and procedures of the clinic.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of all major clinic areas: communication, examination, laboratory, navigation, and outreach.
  • Review and update patient information forms utilized within the practice.
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy in accordance with clinic policies and HIPAA regulations.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration within the clinic environment.
  • Enhance patient experiences by ensuring a tidy environment and promptly notifying staff of any hazards.
  • Orient patients to clinic facilities and the expected patient journey.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively with medical providers, staff, volunteers, patients, and external agencies.
  • Proficient in gathering and interpreting data in a clinical setting.
  • Capability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment in line with organizational standards.
  • Bilingual candidates with proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish are preferred.
