About the Role

Amazon's Legal Department is seeking a talented attorney to support our cryptography and cloud operations services for Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a key member of our team, you will work directly with the business team as lead counsel to develop new products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Advise on regulatory and compliance matters, including privacy, intellectual property, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial licensing agreements to support business growth.
  • Provide day-to-day input on business strategy to ensure alignment with company goals.
What You'll Bring
  • 2+ years of legal experience, with a Juris Doctor degree and membership in one state bar or equivalent.
  • Experience in corporate law firm and in-house work, with a focus on technology, IP licensing, and technology transactions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Sound and practical business judgment, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
