JOB ROLE
As an Automated Systems Technician in Racine, Wisconsin, your responsibilities will include: operating and configuring all automated manufacturing systems and related equipment; executing routine maintenance and repair tasks utilizing specific techniques; collaborating with external vendors or contractors for equipment upkeep, repairs, or upgrades; managing maintenance schedules for all machinery in your designated area; applying advanced troubleshooting skills to assist fellow technicians; ensuring adherence to safety protocols at all times; conducting equipment startups and shutdowns; responding to urgent breakdowns as necessary; employing preventive maintenance methods for both planned and unplanned requests; possessing a thorough understanding of computer-controlled machine programming, including proficiency in PLCs and programmable controllers; aiding in the installation of new machinery and sub-assemblies; and engaging with suppliers and other partners effectively.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting with PLC interface/Programming is essential
- Basic knowledge of robotics is required
- Technical training in electrical, electronics, pneumatics, mechanics, or PLC is necessary; proficiency in two or more areas is highly preferred
- Skills in preventative machine maintenance are advantageous
- Arc Flash Certification is a plus
