Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing distributive pharmacy services and technical support to our pharmacists.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
• Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
• Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the Pharmacy department.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds.
• Repackage bulk medications.
• Receive and store incoming supplies.
• Triage incoming calls and serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patient, and health professionals.

Requirements:

• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Registration with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board required.
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association preferred.
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Pharmacy Technician program preferred.
