Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer

At Burns & McDonnell, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our electrical engineering practice, you will be responsible for leading electrical design project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical design project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments.
  • Adapt electrical plans according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs.
  • Manage project teams throughout the design and construction process.
  • Develop project schedules, scopes, budgets, and staffing plans.
  • Ensure effective management of change orders.
  • Apply expert knowledge of electrical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures.
  • Participate in the development of project schedules, scopes, budgets, and staffing plans.
  • Lead field inspections, installation, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients.
  • Prepare and present technical reports for clients and industry publications.
  • Build effective relationships with existing clients, customers, and contractors.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Minimum 7 years of electrical engineering experience.
  • EPC project experience preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
