Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical design project teams in creating world-class designs for various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical design project teams to create innovative and efficient designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments.
  • Develop and implement electrical design plans, adapting to budget constraints, design factors, and client needs.
  • Prepare electrical equipment specifications, data sheets, and technical bid summaries.
  • Review electrical equipment vendor drawings and data interface with suppliers, clients, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Participate in project schedule, scope, budget, staffing, and construction planning.
  • Manage change orders effectively and apply expert knowledge of electrical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures.
  • Lead quality reviews of production drawings and project-related data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with field personnel to resolve design-related installation issues, calculations, and testing of electrical systems.
  • Prepare and present technical reports for clients and industry publications.
  • Build effective relationships with clients, customers, and contractors to develop new business opportunities.
  • Participate in sales and marketing efforts and identify key pursuits.
  • Lead the development of cost proposals and qualification statements to achieve financial targets.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the electrical engineering practice, mentoring and guiding less experienced engineers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program and successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
  • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering a plus.
  • 7 years of electrical engineering experience, with EPC project experience preferred.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical equipment design ANSI and IEEE Standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
