Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-person customer service delivery in the GIVE Center, triaging customers and conducting holistic intakes to identify their needs.
  • Issue vital document fee waivers, family clothing referrals, prescription eyeglass vouchers, and provide infant, youth, and adult diapers, pet food, emergency nonperishable food items, hygiene, and other supplemental items as available.
  • Use motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care approaches, de-escalation skills, and next-step planning to support customers in achieving their goals.
  • Foster relationships with Denver-based community partners by making customer referrals for ongoing services.
  • Support the on-site virtual customer service role, handling community and internal case manager referral requests, managing the program email inbox, handling phone calls/voicemails, planning and assisting with curbside pickups, and tracking services rendered.
  • Assist with the monthly pickup and inventory tracking for the Food Bank of the Rockies Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in-house food program.
  • Support the GIVE on the Go model, providing services to community-based Neighborhood Resource Sites, including inventory and request tracking, packaging hygiene and snacks, frequent communication with Neighborhood Resource Sites, and weekly delivery of hygiene and snacks.
  • Support other Resource Engagement & Prevention Division and Community Impact Team functions as needed.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual with a strong background in social services, community outreach, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations, providing customer service, and navigating complex social service systems. A bachelor's degree in a related field and bilingual proficiency in Spanish are highly desirable.
