Job Summary

The Production Senior Lead is a key member of our team, responsible for overseeing production personnel, processes, and performance to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in supervising up to 120 employees, providing direct leadership to team leaders and associated team members.
  • Support the Supervisor in daily responsibilities, including training employees, planning, assigning, improving, and directing work, coaching, mentoring, and recognition for employees, addressing concerns and resolving problems, managing Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance.
  • Ensure all processes, equipment, and personnel meet quality standards, and maintain thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment in the area of responsibility.
  • Lead operational efficiency by reviewing manpower and equipment requirements based on production needs, and identify, recommend, and assist in the implementation of measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, quality of product, and productivity using lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Monitor and control consumption of materials and supplies to ensure they are utilized appropriately and within cost targets, and verify correct identification, handling, and storage of products and materials.
  • Coordinate and maintain visual controls used within production areas, and ensure adherence to the policies and procedures of the quality standard TS16949 and environmental ISO 14001 standard.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); Minimum three years' experience in leadership in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Leadership experience, higher education/training; and/or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • An understanding of concepts for lean manufacturing.
Working Conditions

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level is usually moderate.
