POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Line Auditor I is responsible for ensuring the quality of products at assembly lines by performing final audits and inspections. This includes verifying that correct procedures and processes are followed, and that daily equipment checks are performed and logged.

The Quality Line Auditor I works with line personnel to improve quality and knowledge, and performs independent refrigerant leak checks on refrigerant fittings. They also document nonconforming product found during inspections and report all non-conforming activities and product to management.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and 0-3 years of plant level operations/quality experience in a high mix/medium volume environment. They will also have basic computer skills and familiarity with AS400 and Microsoft office tools.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
1. Assure the Quality of Products at Assembly lines by performing final audits (units & sub-assemblies); including Inspection Required flagged units
2. Ensure that correct procedures and processes are followed
3. Verify daily equipment checks are performed and logged
4. Work with line personnel to improve quality/knowledge
5. Perform Independent refrigerant leak check on refrigerant fittings
6. Document nonconforming product found during inspections (Rework Tag, NC Tag)
7. Report all non-conforming activities and product to management
8. Inform Quality team of quality issues with the potential to stop production
9. Log daily findings and provide end of shift report
10. Any other duties assigned by Supervisor

Skills & Abilities

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Experience:
0-3 years of plant level operations/quality experience in a high mix/medium volume environment is preferred.

Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills with familiarity with AS400, Microsoft office tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Certificates & Licenses:
Company certification(s)- wiring, leak test, run test, brazing (understanding) or ability to acquire based on level requirements.

Other Requirements:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedures manuals, wire diagrams & drawings, assembly directions, engineering and manufacturing decoders.

Ability to write simple correspondence. Understand time phase schedule for production support. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
