About the Role
The Transportation Compliance and Asset Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the Transportation Manager in ensuring compliance with regulations and managing assets. This position will be responsible for tracking key metrics, preparing reports, and coordinating with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track and analyze key metrics, including fines, penalties, inspections, and on-time percentages.
- Prepare and submit quarterly reports, including IFTA fuel tax reports, NY Hut filings, and KY filings.
- Coordinate with the Transportation Manager to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of truck registrations, rolling stock inventory, and monthly tractor leasing reports.
- Process fuel reports for multiple facilities and track hours of service.
- Coordinate with offsite locations to gather data and respond to requests in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in a transportation department, with a focus on hazardous material permits, vehicle licensing, and driver ELD systems.
- Demonstrated history of customer service excellence, particularly in communication.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-driven environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with a high degree of professional maturity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Samsara ELD or similar hour of service platforms.
