Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead the State Geospatial Coordinating Board. As the key administrator, you will oversee the board's strategic plan, coordinate with stakeholders, and represent the organization at conferences and meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the quarterly GeoBoard and Joint Task Force meetings
  • Ensure the currency and relevancy of the GeoBoard's website and other public-facing tools
  • Prepare concise documents of the GeoBoard's advice and recommendations for the Governor
  • Evaluate and report on proposed legislative activities impacting geospatial activities in the Commonwealth
  • Establish and execute processes for communications with GeoBoard members, funding agencies, and legislators
Requirements
  • Four-year degree required, graduate degree preferred, with a focus on GIS, survey, geomatics, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in geospatial technology or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Be a Pennsylvania resident or willing to relocate without financial assistance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Geospatial Information Systems Professional (GISP) or similar certification
  • Excellent communication and planning skills
  • Ability to work independently and travel as needed
