We are seeking a skilled Journeymen Chiller Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in commercial, industrial, and/or institutional markets, with knowledge of maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, and rebuilds of medium-large tonnage chillers of all brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute contract maintenance visits, inspections, site assessments, and service requests to prolong the equipment life cycle of our customers' equipment.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers through effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Provide quote estimates for labor and material repairs and upgrades as needed.
  • Represent the company as the direct customer contact and be responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment and systems at customer locations, using cutting-edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand tools and rigging equipment.
  • Enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets.
  • Work as part of a team dedicated to delivering the highest standard of service to all customers, which may require flexibility to work overtime and weekends as the business requires.

Requirements:

  • Three years of commercial, industrial, and/or institutional experience with all types of chillers, various compressor technologies, chiller control systems, and speed drives.
  • Requires Mechanical Journeyman status.
  • Member of Local Union 286 or willing to join.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers.
  • Adherence to company safety program.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Appropriate licenses to work with refrigerant, boiler, and steam operational and service knowledge.
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be on call nights and weekends on a schedule-rotating basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • More than 5 years of commercial, industrial, and/or institutional experience with all types of chillers, various compressor technologies, chiller control systems, and speed drives.
