Position Overview:

Corning Incorporated is seeking a dedicated Senior Systems Analyst to contribute to our dynamic team. This role is essential for the development and enhancement of applications across various departments, ensuring seamless integration and modernization of existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for IMS and manufacturing systems, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
  • Design and create innovative desktop applications and user-friendly data entry interfaces.
  • Migrate legacy applications to contemporary coding platforms, encompassing design, development, testing, and thorough documentation.
  • Oversee software development projects, from requirement gathering to technical specification documentation and user communication.
  • Assist users in understanding data structures, querying data, and building insightful dashboards and reports.
  • Manage databases on SQL Server and Oracle Systems, including table design, stored procedures, and general administration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • At least five years of experience in application development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and platforms such as VB.Net, SQL Server, Oracle, and .NET.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in manufacturing support.
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio, GitLab, SSMS, and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and effective project management skills.
  • Basic understanding of networking and client-server communication.

Work Environment:

This position requires on-site presence and may involve limited domestic travel to other manufacturing sites.
