Position Overview:
The Regional Operations Manager is tasked with collaborating with key leaders across various functions to proactively strategize and develop a District Installation and Service team.
This role involves analyzing customer activities and business practices to assess operational efficiency while managing internal and external resources to boost quality, productivity, delivery speed, and customer loyalty, all while achieving financial objectives.
The Regional Operations Manager will ensure that the Installation Specialist secures the necessary subcontractor resources and trades to meet both current and future implementation demands.
This position necessitates a comprehensive understanding of the products being implemented, structured wiring standards, network design, construction industry regulations, and OSHA training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain appropriate Field Service Technician levels to fulfill all Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Ensure all required training and certifications are completed by district personnel to meet product and customer specifications
- Oversee compliance with local licensing and permit requirements
- Manage inventory levels for all district employees to maintain SLAs and control expenses
- Maintain a sufficient number of outside contractors to achieve customer and corporate objectives within budget
- Ensure expected margin levels are maintained for each project
- Promote company goals in alignment with National Accounts Sales and Business Operations objectives
- Collaborate with HR and corporate teams to foster fair treatment and open communication, enhancing management-employee relations
- Work with corporate and field management teams to improve customer service and satisfaction
- Engage with vendors and manufacturers to ensure product quality and training
- Contribute to project scope development and installation designs
- Prepare site-specific installation schedules with the Installation Specialist and Field Project Managers
- Coordinate subcontractor labor resources effectively
- Onboard, develop, train, and mentor subcontractor resources
- Identify training opportunities to support team members' performance
- Implement project standards to foster professional growth in planning, design, installation, and service transition
- Gather and report installation progress to the Regional Director and Field Leadership
- Drive continuous process improvements based on stakeholder feedback
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Technology, Network Engineering, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. A minimum of seven to ten years of field, construction, and progressive management experience in a high-volume, impactful operation is required.
Demonstrated team-building capabilities, advanced leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously are essential. Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Smart Sheet is also required.
