Innova Solutions is seeking a Digital Accessibility Specialist

Position Type: Contract/Fulltime (W2 Only)

Title: Digital Accessibility Specialist

Duration: 6 Months
Location: Charlotte, NC (3 days in-office/2 days remote)

As a Digital Accessibility Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Accessibility Evaluation: Perform comprehensive assessments of digital content and applications to ensure adherence to accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG 2.2, Section 508).
  • Reporting and Analysis: Review outcomes from accessibility evaluations and generate detailed reports outlining findings, including non-compliance areas and suggestions for enhancements.
  • Assistive Technology Assessment: Test digital products utilizing assistive technologies such as screen readers, voice recognition software, and other accessibility tools.
  • Compliance Oversight: Continuously monitor and document accessibility compliance across all digital platforms, ensuring that updates and new features align with accessibility standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with UX designers, developers, and product managers to identify and rectify issues, as well as integrate accessibility best practices into the design and development workflows.
  • Documentation: Be prepared to draft and/or maintain documentation related to accessibility standards, testing methodologies, and compliance status when required.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with web accessibility evaluation tools such as WAVE, AXE, or JAWS.
  • Deep understanding of accessibility principles.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with various assistive technologies.
  • A proactive approach to learning and enhancing the company's existing accessibility testing practices.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range*: $40 - $45 per hour.

*The pay range offered to a successful candidate will depend on various factors, including education, work experience, location, specific job responsibilities, certifications, etc.
