Job Summary

Triton Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team of experts in fluid process systems and pneumatic systems design. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs for mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Create detailed designs for mechanical systems, including fluid power components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Prototype Creation and Testing: Participate in the creation of prototypes and conduct tests to validate design assumptions and ensure functionality.
  • Component Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate fluid power components (valves, actuators, controllers, etc.) to meet system requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and system schematics and diagrams.
  • Problem-Solving and Collaboration: Identify and resolve engineering issues that arise during the design, fabrication, and testing of prototype systems. Participate actively with the engineering team to find the best solutions.
  • Calculation Tools and Systems Development: Develop calculation tools and systems to support design and development efforts.
  • Technical Guidance and Support: Advise designers in technical matters and provide guidance on design and development efforts.
  • Project Management: Interface with clients and internal team for general project management duties.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in mechanical design using SolidWorks, and 5-10 years of relevant hydraulic or pneumatic system design experience.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, and strong communication and presentation skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Industrial Controllers: Knowledge of industrial controllers (PLCs, ECUs, remote IO, etc.) and experience programming industrial controllers and user interfaces.
  • Marine Systems: Knowledge of marine systems and experience coordinating fabrication efforts with external vendors.
  • Offshore Standards: Ability to understand and work with offshore standards (DNV, ABS, CCS, BV, etc.).

Greater Boston, Massachusetts based, with hybrid/in-person flexibility.
