Role Summary

Are you skilled in designing and implementing exceptional culinary solutions? We are currently in search of a Senior Culinary Manager to oversee the Food Service Operations at a prominent university. In this pivotal role, you will lead the culinary team in a large dining facility, driving menu innovation and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and adjust menus in accordance with established standards, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Maintain daily production records and manage food waste documentation.
  • Guide and train kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and sanitation practices.
  • Ensure compliance with culinary standards, including recipe fidelity and food quality assurance.
  • Oversee inventory management of food and supplies, ensuring availability while adhering to guidelines.
  • Implement and enforce health and sanitation regulations as mandated by local and federal authorities.
  • Conduct financial forecasting for food and labor costs, and monitor actual performance against budget.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to align services with their needs, enhancing satisfaction and retention.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the effective operation of dining services.
Qualifications:
  • A.S. degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of three years of progressive experience in culinary management or kitchen operations.
  • Experience in high-volume food service environments.
  • Proficient in computer applications related to food service management.
  • ServSafe Certification is required.
