Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Sanitation Manager to join our team at Niagara Bottling. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleaning and sanitation are maintained across our plant, ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective cleaning and sanitation procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of sanitation staff, providing guidance, training, and coaching to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Quality Assurance and Operations, to ensure seamless integration of cleaning and sanitation processes.
  • Develop and maintain records and reports to track cleaning and sanitation activities, including chemical usage, microbiological sampling, and equipment maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in cleaning and sanitation, and implement new technologies and procedures as needed.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment, with a focus on cleaning and sanitation.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing a team, with experience in training and developing staff.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures, including CIP and COP systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment, with a focus on cleaning and sanitation.
  • Experience with automated and manual CIP systems.
  • Knowledge of sanitation audits, including equipment specifications and sanitary process design.
  • Ability to make independent judgments on issues that impact cleaning and sanitation procedures, forms, policies, and standards.

  • Demonstrated experience working with automated and manual CIP systems.
  • Ability to make independent judgments on issues that impact cleaning and sanitation procedures, forms, policies, and standards.
  • Capable of working with minimal amount of supervision.
  • Effective at interaction with all levels of plant.
