Job Summary:

The Brenntag Project Engineer will be responsible for providing facility and process troubleshooting, design and management, and support of project work related to the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical manufacturing and experience in process optimization, facility design, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day and long-term process support and optimization in all areas of the assigned facilities.
  • Assist and manage active projects within Brenntag facilities, including project layout and scope, CAPEX budget adherence, project planning and execution, and post-audits for ROI verification.
  • Conduct audits of manufacturing, blending, and distribution processes to ensure proper adherence to established Brenntag standards of design and operating standards.
  • Establish proficiency in BUS system and business support systems to serve as a support entity for Operations.
  • Assume a technical resource role for outside sources, including sales, customers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to oversee and manage complex service and repair work of diverse types of electrical and plant equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
