Key Responsibilities- Implement and coordinate training and safety objectives to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Establish and meet production and financial goals, including developing a financial plan that achieves company and plant objectives.
- Schedule plant personnel to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
- Maintain clear dialogue with customers to determine their needs and services required.
- Develop and administer discipline concerning the violation of company rules and regulations.
- Oversee plant purchasing, maintenance, and repairs, as well as direct and indirect supervision of all plant personnel and staff.
To be considered for this role, you must have a strong background in manufacturing, materials management, and production operations. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment is required, with a focus on materials management, production, or engineering. Previous experience in purchasing, producing, inventory control, production control, and engineering, as well as shipping, receiving, and warehousing, is also essential. Additionally, you must have three to five years of experience managing staff and previous experience with profit and loss responsibility.
A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred, with experience in manufacturing, steel-industry, or other similar environments. A proven track record of improving safety performance and goals, as well as strong communication and leadership skills, are also highly desirable.
