A strong passion for natural wine is essential for this position. You should be able to share your knowledge in an engaging and conversational manner.

As a Bartender, your primary goal will be to provide guests with an exceptional experience by guiding them through our menu, ensuring efficient service, and maintaining the cleanliness of our space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet all guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service at all times.
  • Be responsive to guest requests, dietary needs, and allergies.
  • Prepare beverages according to XUNTOS's standards consistently.
  • Maintain proper bar service, including serving, clearing, and refilling water.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our food menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and dish characteristics.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of our drink menu, focusing on wine grapes, regions, styles, and producers.
  • Collaborate with the back-of-house team to ensure all dishes meet XUNTOS's standards.
  • Serve wine confidently and accurately.
  • Adhere to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in line with the restaurant's policies.
  • Communicate any service issues or guest complaints promptly to the Manager.
  • Assist in maintaining a seamless guest experience by filling in where necessary.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as outlined in checklists.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and labor regulations applicable to the restaurant.

Your Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated potential and ambition for growth beyond this role.
  • Willingness to participate in mandatory ongoing training sessions.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a similar service establishment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with reservation management and point-of-sale systems.
  • Able to multitask effectively in high-volume, high-stress environments.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to personal learning and development.

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and stretch; capable of lifting up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours) and move throughout the establishment.
  • Physical stamina to carry wine, beer, and spirits, and maintain an energetic presence during service.
