About the Role:

As a Bartender at El Encanto, you will be an integral part of our bartending team, working closely with our experienced mixologists to create innovative cocktails and exceptional guest experiences. You will engage with guests, understand their preferences, and craft customized cocktails tailored to their tastes. Your attention to detail, passion for mixology, and commitment to delivering exceptional service will make you a valuable asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, beers, and wines to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Engage with guests, understand their preferences, and craft customized cocktails tailored to their tastes.
  • Work closely with the bartending team to create innovative cocktails and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to high standards of sanitation and presentation.
  • Requisition liquors and supplies, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Participate in shift staff roll call briefings and complete assigned side work.
  • Comply with safe working practices, Health and Safety policy, and ensure accidents/defects are reported immediately.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • One year certificate from technical bartender school (preferred, but not required);
  • 1-2 years Hotel, bar, or related experience preferred;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of beverage quality and portion control standards;
  • Clear, fluent conversational English;
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees;
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals;
  • Demonstrated proficiency with guest service and Point of Sale Systems;
  • Primary quality detailed service ethic;
  • Strong interpersonal staff and guest relations;
  • Team-minded approach to fellow workers;
  • Ability to apply common sense, understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form;
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
