Job Summary:

The Ophthalmic Technician Specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to the ophthalmology team at Quadrant Inc. This role requires a strong foundation in medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients, adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Measure eyeglass prescriptions and operate various ophthalmology diagnostic equipment.
  • Apply drops to anesthetize, dilate, or medicate eyes, and prepare patients for treatment and assist ophthalmologists in LASIK surgery.
  • Counsel patients on treatment options, use of drops and drugs, and ensure confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records.
  • Provide quality patient care, excellent communication, and customer service, and help generate leads towards laser vision correction surgery.
  • Create a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients, and perform routine instrument maintenance.
  • Assist ophthalmologists in the surgery suite with LASIK procedures, and be open to change and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
  • 1+ years of experience in Ophthalmology or Optometry.
  • COA/COT certification preferred.
  • EPIC systems preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Minimum of a High School diploma or General Education Degree.
