Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EEG Technologist II to join our team at MaineHealth. This is a critical role that requires minimal supervision and involves operating electroneurodiagnostic equipment to measure neural potentials for use by physicians in diagnosing neurological outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect EEG data for routine EEGs, Interventional Radiology, Evoked Potentials, Continuous EEG, and long-term epilepsy monitoring in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Operate electroneurodiagnostic equipment according to established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT and clinical engineering to resolve IT issues.
  • Review, clip, store continuous EEG, ambulatory EEG, and EMU studies in accordance with department protocols.
  • Complete 10 CEU's per year to maintain position.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP Accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology Program and/or registered as a R.EEG T, R.EPT CNIM, or CLTM by ABRET.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association (may be obtained within 6 months of hire date).
  • One year of experience in Neurodiagnosic field. Individuals with Associates Degree and/or other allied health experience and credentials may be considered at manager's/medical director's discretion.
