Clinical Admissions Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Admissions Coordinator to join our team at the Brattleboro Retreat. As a key member of our Admissions department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of patients through our system.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with physicians to review referrals and determine the most appropriate placement for acute patient admissions.
- Participate in daily safety huddles and census, acuity, and staffing plans with nurse managers and physician leadership.
- Communicate effectively with referral agencies, outside nurse partners, and internal clinical stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate and complete medication history, compliance, and reconciliation processes in partnership with on-call physicians.
- Provide comprehensive handoffs to Clinical Managers and House Supervisors.
- Coordinate patient throughput in the Admissions department and delegate tasks to LNA, MHW, and LAB staff as needed.
- 3 years of experience in behavioral health.
- 2 years of bed placement/admission experience.
- COVID vaccination and booster.
- BLS (AHA) certification.
- State license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Vermont.
Every other weekend and possible on-call requirements.
