Job Description:
A leading global bio-pharmaceutical organization in North Carolina is seeking a highly skilled Analytical Chemist Specialist to support their analytical services team.
This individual will be responsible for analyzing pharmaceutical products utilizing a range of wet chemistry techniques and chromatographic methods.
This role is critical to the Analytical Services team, performing testing to support the validation of new manufacturing equipment at the site.
Day-to-day, this individual will perform a variety of analytical techniques, including pH, titration, viscosity, UV, and appearance measurements, as well as chromatographic methods such as HPLC/UPLC on sterile injectable drug products.
The team supports testing and other instrumentation and methods will be added throughout the assignment duration pending business need and incoming chemistry expertise.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related life science field
- Previous experience in a chemistry laboratory from academia or an internship
- 6 months of industry experience in a laboratory
Work Environment:
This is a fully on-site position in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The individual will primarily work in the ASL group but could also support the QC group. Training will be conducted and take approximately 1-2 months before testing on live product. Need wet testing and GDP signed off on. Will report to the weekend shift supervisor once able to test live product.
Weekend Shift:
Friday-Monday 1st shift: 7am-5pm. 6 paid holidays and 40 hours of PTO, usable after 30 days of employment.
Dress Code:
Business casual, closed-toed flat comfortable shoes.
