Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Guidance: Act as a leader on duty during breakfast or dinner service, providing guidance and support to staff members as needed.
- Staff Development: Help train, coach, and mentor breakfast, restaurant, and bar staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to provide excellent service.
- Reporting and Analysis: Create daily reports on covers and other operational information to help inform management decisions.
- Service Delivery: Supervise restaurant and breakfast employees during service, providing support as needed, and ensuring that high standards of service and presentation are maintained.
- Communication: Communicate with staff regarding specials, banquets, and expectations to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Opening and Closing Procedures: Supervise opening and closing side work to ensure that all areas are prepared for service and that staff members are aware of their responsibilities.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to explore new business opportunities and plans to drive revenue growth.
- Progress Meetings: Meet with the Restaurant Manager to discuss progress on assigned projects and determine future assignments.
- Issue Resolution: Communicate with the Restaurant Manager and/or F&B Manager daily to ensure that any urgent requests or issues are addressed promptly.
- Event Planning: Help plan, set up, and run catering, vacation, wedding, and banquet events as needed to ensure seamless execution.
- Inventory Management: Conduct daily inventory and restocking of dishes, glassware, and food items to ensure that all areas are well-stocked and ready for service.
- Service Standards: Maintain strong attention to service and presentation standards at all times.
- Scheduling: Assist in planning the weekly schedule on time to ensure that all staff members are aware of their responsibilities.
- Guest Interaction: Take a visible leadership role towards hotel guests, ensuring that they receive excellent service and have a positive experience.
- Food Ordering: Assist with food ordering for breakfast as needed to ensure that all areas are well-stocked and ready for service.
- Staff Development and Coaching: Develop and coach staff with input from department managers, recommending corrective action as needed.
- Reporting and Administration: Complete reports, projects, and paperwork as assigned on a timely basis.
- Payroll Support: Assist the Restaurant Manager and F&B Manager with payroll information regarding schedule changes, missed punches, and adding alternate job codes.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with all areas of the F&B department, including breakfast, lounge, and banquets, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the successful operation of the F&B department.
