Job Title: Quality Laboratory Specialist

AVITA Medical is a leading regenerative medicine company that develops and commercializes innovative devices and autologous cellular therapies for skin restoration. We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Laboratory Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to perform lot release testing for AVITA Medical's family of products. This involves conducting routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products according to established procedures and cGLP guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct quality control testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products.
  • Compile and review test records and data to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Identify and report any quality anomalies or deviations from established procedures.
  • Perform out-of-specification (OOS) investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain quality control procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of laboratory experience in a regulated industry (food, pharmaceutical, or medical device).
  • Microbiology laboratory experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a scientific field.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Excel and Word.
  • Strong work ethics and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Physical Work Environment:

The physical demands of this role include sitting, talking, and hearing, standing, walking, and balancing, using hands and fingers to type, handle, feel, grasp, push, and pull. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
