Key Competencies:

Proficient in Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) Development and PowerShell Scripting

Technical Expertise: This role requires an integration engineer with strong scripting capabilities and application support experience, particularly with MIM and Azure Active Directory Connect (AADC), alongside other web-based applications.

Database Knowledge: Familiarity with SQL Server, including data formats, data sets, and SQL queries is essential.

Demonstrated skills in data management, including exporting, extracting, and integrating data.

Core Responsibilities:

The Identity Management Consultant will play a crucial role in delivering identity solutions through both commercial off-the-shelf products and custom-developed applications. Each solution must adhere to industry-standard processes during the design phase. Expertise in integrating complex enterprise components is vital for supporting the Identity and Access Management Services (IAMS) team.

Utilizing best practices, the consultant will implement innovative technology solutions that support IAMS. A thorough understanding of code and infrastructure release management is required, along with the ability to collaborate with project teams to ensure successful deployment of new or modified functionalities within a complex environment. Attention to detail is paramount to deliver secure solutions that meet business needs and are operationally supportable.

The ideal candidate will possess mid-level engineering experience and the ability to:

  • Conduct infrastructure support and scripting tasks using various programming languages such as Structured Query Language, T-SQL, PowerShell, and C# to develop, modify, and manage code aligned with business rules.
  • Create or collaborate on visual mock-ups, prototypes, and diagrams, and perform or oversee testing for compatibility to achieve an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies in IAM.
  • Have a solid understanding of physical and logical data models, including system integration in relational Microsoft SQL databases.
  • Analyze business and technical information to provide analytical support for decision-making.
  • Provide intermediate to complex analysis, aiding in the planning and implementation of systems, upgrades, and process changes.
  • Advise clients on relevant matters and lead or participate in the development and maintenance of business analytics and decision support solutions.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and system failures.
  • Collaborate with team members, clients, and information services to identify dependencies, risks, and opportunities.
  • Utilize advanced business, analytical, and technical knowledge to engage in discussions with multi-functional teams, understanding and influencing complex business objectives and solution strategies.
  • Incorporate visualization techniques to clarify analysis points for less technical audiences.
  • Apply advanced analytical methods to address medium to large-scale business challenges with significant strategic impact.
  • Document assumptions, methodologies, validations, and testing thoroughly to facilitate peer reviews and compliance.
  • Present analysis findings clearly to influence management decisions and support business strategy.
  • Collaborate with IAMS and external vendors to plan necessary infrastructure enhancements and code modifications.
  • Communicate ongoing activities and results to stakeholders as part of knowledge sharing and reporting.
  • Employ consultative questioning, influence management, and critical thinking to understand directives and propose viable, cost-effective solutions that add value to the business.

Experience Required:

Approximately 3 to 5 years of experience with Microsoft Identity Management (MIM) Sync Engine.

About 3 years of relevant system integration support experience using the .NET framework.

Approximately 3 years of experience troubleshooting and modifying rule extensions using C#.

About 3 years of experience in integration support with Azure Active Directory Connect (AADC) rules.

Experience in modifying and enhancing complex PowerShell scripts.

Demonstrated progression of responsibilities in previous roles.

Strong understanding of DevOps/WinOps methodologies and Secure Code compliance.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • High proficiency in MIM system integration.
  • Experience with the .NET Framework and MIM rules extensions.
  • Knowledge of constructing and configuring Azure AD Connect (AADC) rules.
  • Data analytics experience, particularly in patterns and trends.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Databases as they relate to AADC and MIM.
  • Continuous knowledge of the remediation and implementation of relevant technologies.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with colleagues and senior leaders across a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to adapt communication style to others, develop rapport, and remain composed under pressure.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex IAM or Information Security development issues.
  • Flexibility to support multiple demands and travel as needed for project activities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to meet project deliverables.
