Position Summary: We are currently seeking a Regulatory Policy Specialist to join our team in the DC Metro Area. This role will involve supporting the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) in the evaluation of new drug applications and abbreviated new drug applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough analyses of drug applications to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Identifying and rectifying labeling discrepancies in drug submissions.
- Drafting and revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other policy documents.
- Assisting in the categorization of documents according to FDA requirements.
- Ensuring consistent use of scientific terminology across documentation.
- Facilitating effective communication with FDA scientists regarding project requirements and timelines.
- Performing quality assurance checks on colleagues' work.
- Creating and maintaining internal documentation, including process guides and training materials.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- A degree in a scientific or health-related field.
- Previous experience with the FDA or in a regulatory environment is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry and FDA regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and its advanced features.
- Experience in regulatory, healthcare, laboratory, or pharmaceutical settings.
- Knowledge of Section 508 compliance standards.
