We are seeking a skilled Pastry Prep Cook to join our team at Verzenay Patisserie. As a Pastry Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of baked goods, including cakes, cookies, pies, pastries, and desserts. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to our bakery's recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
Responsibilities- Prepare a wide variety of baked goods, including cakes, cookies, pies, pastries, and desserts, following traditional and modern recipes.
- Take delivery of supplies and store them in designated areas as soon as receiving the products.
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to our bakery's recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
- Fill-in for fellow employees where needed; work as a team and train other employees as needed.
- 1 full year of experience working full-time in a baking and/or pastry environment.
- Experience in cakes, pies, or pastries/entremet is required.
- Ability to lift objects weighing about 50lbs, lift, bend, and stand for long hours during shifts.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Willingness to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations.
Hourly rate: $19.00
