ECU Health Beaufort Hospital operates as a vital component of ECU Health Medical Center, which is recognized as a Level I Trauma Center. This facility is dedicated to delivering a comprehensive array of inpatient and outpatient medical services.

Facility Overview

The hospital is equipped with 142 beds and provides extensive services, including:

  • Medical and surgical care
  • Intensive care and emergency services
  • Pediatrics and women's health
  • Laboratory and diagnostic imaging
  • Physical and respiratory therapy

Additionally, the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center is part of our offerings, providing advanced chemotherapy and radiation therapy among other oncology services.


Position Summary

We are offering a commitment incentive of up to $30K for this role.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering care in alignment with the North Carolina Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Standards of Practice. The nursing care provided will adhere to the established policies and professional standards of ECU Health.

The role involves:

  • Collecting and analyzing patient assessment data
  • Identifying expected outcomes and developing care plans in collaboration with patients and their families
  • Implementing interventions and evaluating patient progress
  • Documenting all aspects of patient care

Our nursing professionals are expected to be sensitive to the unique needs of patients and their families, promoting effective teamwork and collaboration throughout the care process.


Minimum Requirements

A Diploma in Nursing, an Associate's Degree in Nursing, or higher is required.

A current RN license in North Carolina or a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state is mandatory.

Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association is also required.


General Information

This position is a full-time night shift role, requiring 36 hours per week with rotating weekends.
