Key Responsibilities:
  • Greets patients, confirms image requirements, and explains procedures to patients, demonstrating empathy and sensitivity to their needs.
  • Reviews patients' medical histories, confirms consent forms, and positions patients on examination tables for optimal imaging.
  • Introduces intravenous contrast material as directed by radiologists, ensuring accurate and safe administration.
  • Operates and maintains CT equipment, adjusting settings to meet imaging requirements and ensuring optimal image quality.
  • Maintains examination rooms, stores films, and manages inventory of related supplies, promoting a clean and organized work environment.
  • Prepares patient information files, documenting patient data, and submits reports on examination results.
  • Performs other related duties as directed, contributing to the smooth operation of the department.
Requirements:
  • Minimum one year of experience as a CT Technologist or registry-eligible ARRT advanced certification in CT, with certification obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required, with a graduate degree from a certified/accredited ARRT program.
  • Radiologic Technologist License (Virginia) and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography within 12 months of hire.
  • Current on CEUs with ARRT, with venipuncture competency checks off or acquired within three months of hire.
  • Ability to stand, push, pull, and lift patients, with effective interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
