A leading Health Financial Service is seeking to recruit a Clinical Pharmacist.

Contract Duration: 6 Months - Contract to Hire

Work Arrangement: Remote - Available for PST and MT time zones only

Working Hours: Flexible hours required, including potential overtime and weekends, with availability from 5 AM to midnight.

Compensation: $55 to $60 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in computer-based tasks, including receiving calls from prior authorization pharmacy technicians and healthcare providers for clinical inquiries.
  • Provide consultation to physicians and healthcare providers, interpret clinical guidelines, and make coverage determinations for prior authorization cases.
  • Advise pharmacy technicians and physicians on medication usage and suggest appropriate formulary alternatives as needed.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail by gathering complex clinical information and adhering to regulatory guidelines for coverage determinations.
  • Manage workload effectively, prioritize tasks, and complete assignments punctually while utilizing resources efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations in all duties performed.
  • Support department quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain productive working relationships with team members and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Prioritize patient safety and quality of work, ensuring a secure workspace and communicating any safety concerns to leadership.
  • Address issues and complaints promptly.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Participate in a 5-week training program, scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday.
  • Post-training, work will consist of an 8-hour shift with a one-hour lunch break, with availability required from 5 AM to midnight.
  • Work schedule will include five days a week, which may involve weekend shifts.
  • Overtime and holiday work may be required based on business needs.
  • Must have reliable home internet access and a secure workspace.
  • Proficiency in using a PC, including navigating multiple systems and screens, is essential.
  • Consistent attendance is critical.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharmacists must possess a Bachelor’s or Doctorate in Pharmacy and hold an active State Pharmacist License.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in Customer Service or Customer Relations within the healthcare sector.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
