Contract Duration: 6 Months - Contract to Hire
Work Environment: Remote, available for PST and MT time zones.
Working Hours: Flexibility required to work between 5 AM and midnight, including overtime and weekends.
Compensation: $55 to $60 per hour, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in computer-based tasks, including responding to inquiries from prior authorization pharmacy technicians and healthcare providers.
- Provide consultation to physicians and healthcare providers regarding clinical guidelines and coverage determinations for prior authorization cases.
- Advise pharmacy technicians and physicians on medication usage and suggest appropriate formulary alternatives as needed.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail by gathering complex clinical information and adhering to regulatory guidelines for coverage determinations.
- Manage workload effectively, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of assignments while adhering to departmental standards.
- Comply with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations in all duties performed.
- Support department quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
- Maintain productive relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Prioritize patient safety and quality of work, ensuring a secure workspace and reporting any safety concerns.
- Address issues and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Complete a 5-week training program, typically from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday.
- Post-training, work an 8-hour shift with a 1-hour lunch break, with availability required from 5 AM to midnight.
- Work a 5-day week, which may include weekends.
- Overtime and holiday work may be required based on business needs.
- Must have reliable home internet access and a secure workspace.
- Proficiency in PC usage is essential, including navigating multiple systems and screens.
- Consistent attendance is critical.
Required Qualifications:
- Pharmacists must possess a Bachelor’s or Doctorate in Pharmacy and an active state pharmacist license.
- A minimum of 6 months of customer service experience in healthcare settings.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
