Job Title: Service Manager

TruGreen Limited Partnership is committed to providing exceptional service to our customers. We are seeking a highly skilled Service Manager to lead our team of lawn care specialists and ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the quality of service provided to customers and develop procedures to minimize customer complaints.
  • Coach and develop lawn specialists and trainees to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service.
  • Recruit, interview, and select personnel needed to efficiently staff the service function.
  • Plan and conduct new hire and ongoing training for service personnel in customer service skills, technical skills, safety policies, and procedures.
  • Supervise a team of technicians to ensure service goals are met and maintain positive morale among personnel.
  • Examine associate work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to best practices and company policies.
  • Determine work procedures and issue oral and written instructions to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Prepare composite reports from individual reports of subordinates and conduct daily and weekly management meetings.
  • Ensure a safe workplace is provided for all associates by ongoing training and adherence to company policies.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in a business-related discipline and two or more years of related experience in lawn/horticulture/agronomy/lawn care services required.
  • 2+ years of supervisory management experience required.
  • Certificates, licenses, and registrations as required by federal and state law.
  • Bachelor's degree and sales experience preferred.
  • Extensive local travel required.
  • Valid, permanent driver's license from state of residence and a clean driving record per company standards required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of leadership and with front line staff.
  • Excellent leadership skills in team building, selecting talent, training, mentoring, and developing a sales team.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Practical knowledge of service industry and experience in developing and executing sales plans.
  • Business process analysis skills.
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
