About the Position:

We are seeking a Youth Behavioral Healthcare Specialist to join our team at the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughter. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide expert care to children with complex psychiatric needs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement patient-centered plans of care, incorporating evidence-based practices in pediatric mental health.
  • Provide expert therapeutic interventions, including individual and group sessions, to support patients' emotional and behavioral growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and treatment, adhering to strict confidentiality guidelines.

Requirements:

  • A current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Compact State license is essential for this role.
  • CPR training is required within 45 days of hire, and PALS certification is preferred.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is preferred, but an Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or diploma in nursing with applicable experience is also acceptable.
  • Experience in pediatric medical and psychiatric settings is highly desirable.
