Job Summary and Qualifications

As a MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting physicians to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Diagnostic Imaging Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and complete appropriate paperwork on every patient as required.
  • Transport patients to and from their rooms and ER.
  • Monitor equipment for mechanical safety.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Position patients on examining tables and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body.
  • Work as a team player and meet the needs of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Technologist.
  • Current licensure or permit in the State of Texas (TDH).
  • CT registry is preferred.
  • MRI registry is required within 6 months from date of hire for MRI registry-eligible candidates.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital-imaging department is required.
  • 1 year experience in CT or MRI is preferred.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
