Job Summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a PRN Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist to join our team at the League City Convenient Care Center.

Job Description

The successful candidate will perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to create high-quality images of tissue, organs, and other body parts. This will involve preparing patients for the exam, administering contrast when necessary, positioning patients for the MRI scanner, and selecting the appropriate imaging techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI procedures on patients, ensuring technical quality and safety
  • Enter and monitor patient data, identifying and reporting any errors or discrepancies
  • Perform quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and matrix camera
  • Assist with initial and renewal applications for accreditation
  • Identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management
  • Take emergency calls within the department
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support
  • Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR) or Registered Radiological Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) and Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
